About Tracey Allsopp, Christchurch Wedding Photographer and Make-up Artist
In the 1990's I had come to a realisation that I was challenged by the thought of having an uninspiring job for the rest of my life. I knew that there had to be more, so on returning to New Zealand I decided to change my path and to "live a life I loved". For the next three years I went back to college and studied full time, and successfully completed my Makeup Certificate, with distinction, at the Design Arts College, Christchurch, New Zealand. Thrilled and excited about my future I recognized that I had a job that made people look beautiful but most importantly, it made people feel great about themselves.
Yet I still had a yearning for more! As part of my make up training we had to complete a weekly section on Photography. This subject was a passionate hobby of mine and I quickly realised that it would be amazing to be able to put these two skills together. Two years on I have achieved my Certificate in Professional Photography with Distinction and my Certificate in Advanced Professional Photography. After accomplishing these I felt ready to take the world on.
I love what I do and it now is my profession and my absolute passion. I still feel inspired after every wedding I attend and shoot, and feel blessed to be able to do this. I am the only Qualified Photographer and Makeup Artist working in the Christchurch industry and with the two professions going hand in hand it enables me to confidently provide the services to my clients that give them images that are truly beautiful and that they can treasure forever!
